How Lemon Pepper should taste

Our Triple Lemon Pepper has been on our drawing board for an exceedingly long time. Our goal was to create a version of the classic lemon pepper but only with organic ingredients and no E numbers, flavour enhancers and aromas, included in many other lemon pepper mixtures.

What’s in Our Pepper?

The challenge was to find the right organic ingredients that could provide enough natural citrus aroma. As the name suggests, this blend contains three different citrus elements:

  • Nepalese Szechuan pepper, known for its bold citrus notes and slightly tingling heat.
  • Dried organic lemon peel and fruit pulp - an upcycled product, as we use end pieces and discarded slices from a dried citrus production.
  • Lemon verbena from our Greek herb supplier, offering a fresh citrus flavor with a delicate herbal touch.

To round out the flavor, we add Sri Lankan black pepper, sourced from our long-term supplier and grown in the lush forest gardens of Sri Lanka (following the Kandyan Forest Garden concept). As with all our Sri Lankan ingredients, we pay a fair trade premium for this pepper.

How to Use Lemon Pepper

Lemon pepper is incredibly versatile - try it in pasta dishes, on grilled vegetables, in dressings and marinades, or as a seasoning for fish and roasted chicken. And don’t be afraid to experiment. It’s surprisingly delicious on sweet fruits, in pickles, and in chutneys!
