TOMATO AND ONION SALAD (side dish for 4 people)

This salad is incredibly simple to prepare, and it will take your meals to the next level with its fresh and flavorful twist. The combination of ripe tomatoes, crunchy red onion, and the bright Sumac is just the right balance of refreshing and zesty. Perfect for a barbecue or as a light starter!

INGREDIENTS

6 large ripe tomatoes
1 red onion
1-2 teaspoons Sumac (adjust to taste)
3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 pomegranate (seeds only)
Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

Cut the tomatoes into wedges and slice the red onion into very thin rings. Chop the parsley roughly or finely, depending on your preference.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced tomatoes, onion, pomegranate seeds, and chopped parsley. Sprinkle the Sumac over the salad and adjust the amount based on how strong you want the flavor to be. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
