DIRECTIONS
DIRECTIONS
For the Chicken:
Coat the chicken with vinegar, oil, and salt. Mix the yogurt with Shawarma Hack, then add to the chicken and stir to coat. Marinate in the fridge for a couple of hours, if you have time.
Sear the chicken breasts in a hot pan, then transfer to a preheated oven at 175°C for about 12 minutes.
For the Creme Fraiche Dressing:
Mix the creme fraiche with lemon juice and garlic, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
For the Tomato/Onion Salad:
Peel the red onions, halve them, and slice them thinly. Halve the tomatoes and mix the onions with sumac and parsley. Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds (if using).
For Serving:
Place the dressing, chili sauce, and optional hummus in small bowls. Arrange the tomato salad and vegetables.
Warm the durum flatbreads and wrap them in a dish towel to keep them warm. Slice the chicken into thin strips. Set everything on the table so you can assemble your shawarma to your liking.
Tip! You can also use roasted vegetables, beef, or lamb instead of chicken in this recipe. Experiment with the Shawarma Hack blend depending on how spicy you want your dish.
Enjoy your meal!
