What's in the blend?

Our curry blend is made with coriander, fennel seeds, black pepper, cumin, ginger, cardamom, cloves, Ceylon cinnamon, and fragrant curry leaves. For the best flavor, briefly toast the spices in hot oil before adding the other ingredients.

How to balance the flavors in your curry

It’s said that every Sri Lankan household has its own curry blend, adjusted to the family’s taste and the spices available. In Asian cuisine, curry spices are typically sautéed in oil before adding other ingredients. If you prefer more heat, mix in a little chili powder before cooking. For a brighter golden color, add a touch of turmeric. And don’t forget a pinch of salt and a little sugar can enhance the spice notes and bring out the full depth of the blend.
