Hot, brown mustard seeds that can be used whole or crushed

Brown mustard seeds have a sharp aromatic flavour that develops when the seeds are crushed and mixed with water, vinegar or other liquids. Coarsely crushed brown and yellow mustard seeds mixed in some water form the base for the classic Danish fish mustard marinade.

Brown mustard is an annual plant that grows in extended pods of the mustard flower, much like yellow mustard. In autumn, the stalks are cut and dried, and seeds are shaken out of the pods. Before sowing mustard, the fields are burned to produce fertile ash and keep soil pests away and during crop growth, natural oils like Neem plant extracts that act as natural pesticides are used to ensure an organic produce.
