Ready to elevate your cabbage game? Let’s get cooking!
Oven Method:
Remove the outer leaves of the cabbages, rinse them well, and shake off excess water. Cut the cabbages in half and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, cut side up.
Drizzle with olive oil (or melted butter) and sprinkle with Cabbage Karma and salt. Roast at 175°C (350°F) for about 15-20 minutes, depending on how crisp or tender you prefer them.
Transfer to a serving dish and top with grated parmesan and lemon zest. Cut the lemon into wedges and serve alongside, allowing everyone to adjust acidity and seasoning to their taste.
Pan-Seared Method:
Heat a regular pan or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Add a generous amount of butter and place the cabbage halves cut-side down. Sear for about 4-6 minutes until golden and slightly caramelized, then briefly sear the other side. Be careful not to burn the butter.
Serve as above, with parmesan, lemon zest, and freshly ground black pepper.
Enjoy!
