Meatballs:
400 g ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1 tsp Gringo Taco
1 handful fresh cilantro, finely chopped
½ dl breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper
Olive oil for frying
Salsa:
4 ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
1 small red onion, finely chopped
½ handful fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
Juice of 1 lime
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
Meatballs:
In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, Gringo, cilantro, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
Knead the mixture well and shape it into small meatballs.
Heat a bit of olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Salsa:
Combine all salsa ingredients in a bowl and season with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
Let the salsa sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
